Baklava for All

The 29th Annual Boise Greek Food Festival is upon us - June 4th and 5th! I look forward to this festival EVERY year. There is SO much delicious food that I usually go each day!

I highly recommend everyone in Boise check it out - there is music and dancing, beer, wine, food food and more food - and a house full of desserts to enjoy at the festival and take home!

27th and Bannock - parking is on the street throughout the neighborhood, so walking, bike riding or carpooling is suggested. Proceeds benefit the Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, and special church tours are given during the festival.

For more information, menus with pricing, and tour schedules - please visit the Boise Greek Festival website.

CULT CAMP - Rubin and Ed

Proud to present CULT CAMP

A movie night celebrating the best and worst of Cult, B, Horror, Xploitation, and other alt. film genres. CULT CAMP features a different non-profit to promote and benefit from each event. Simply Cats, Boise's only no-kill cageless cat shelter will be with us this Thursday for Rubin and Ed, directed by Utah filmmaker Trent Harris!

This is one of my favorite weirdo movies - I'm excited to share it with my friends!

HAIR!

Are you a hair stylist or work in a salon?
Do you get your hair cut?
Do you know others who get hair cuts?
Did you know that human hair and animal fur can help soak up oil spills?

Ask your salon, friends and family to donate their hair (or help spread the word) to Matter of Trust - what a great organization, this idea is amazing!

All the little things help.

In Search of Joan

Christina Hendricks was recently "awarded" the title of Esquire magazine's "Sexiest Woman Alive" - a pop culture crown that changes recipient not by death, as the headline might suggest, but on a yearly basis of interest and appeal. Christina has joined the ranks of Halle Berry, Charlize Theron, Scarlett Johansson, and Angelina Jolie, to name a few.

Christina Hendricks is not a movie star. She's not a Hollywood icon (yet). She plays Joan Holloway on AMC's Mad Men. Another interesting note about Christina is that she was raised in Twin Falls, Idaho from 3rd to 8th grade... more than potatoes here people!

Christina, aka Joan, is best known for her sultry curves and flame red hair. She's bringing the OOMPH back! From one curvy girl to another, I thank her for this. And on a side note, she is a natural blonde, and enjoys drinking scotch.

Joan

I started looking more into Christina's Joan character and how she dresses, as inspiration for my "Trophy Room" costume for Modern Art at Modern Hotel this First Thursday. Opposite my Joan will be Holli High's Betty Draper, the vixen housewife.

Hope to see you there!

La brassière du sportif

The sports bra causes me anger and confusion. Why must my breasts become one in order to exercise? And why must high quality athletic bosom-holders cost over $60? Do men have this issue with jockstraps?

Why must the tit harness be so unworthy of it's title?

Beach House & Bachelorette

Not only am I so very excited for this show at Neurolux on April 9th, but I'm titillated that Julia Green designed the poster! Buy them the evening of the show, or through Julia's website.

Blonde Noir

I love old film posters and lobby cards. Blonde Ice is from 1948, Blonde Bait from 1956.

P*U*P*P*Y

Free PUPPY to good home. Eight week old Pomeranian/Korgi/Dachshund mix. Seems to be good with kids. He comes with his crate.

My friend who adopted him is sadly allergic, and must find a new home as soon as possible!
